It has been a great year for the Red Wings by becoming the 2002 Stanley Cup Champions 3 times in 6 years and winning it 10 times in total since they have been established, winning the Western Conference league and being the best team in the NHL. What more can you ask from the Red Wings? How about some fresh players for a change as these old geezers need to hang up their skates. But they have been lifelong veterans serving the Red Wings for years and they will be sadly missed when the time comes for them to retire. Scotty Bowman, has announced that it was his last game as a coach and he is retiring from the game. So, congratulations to Scotty and all the best to him and his retirement. He has done alot for the Red Wings and you have to give him credit for what he has accomplished throughout his entire NHL career. Too bad that he's not staying on for another year though because he could probably win one more cup so he can cover all his fingers with rings! Congrats to Dominik Hasek for winning his first ever Stanley Cup as he really deserved it for being hot between the pipes in the playoffs.
